Yesterday was the Met Gala, which trumps the Oscars as the day to Fashion browse. The fact that I think its such a fabulous opportunity makes me even madder about this year’s theme: Punk. Really, I was just waiting for the disasters to happen in this Gala. And I have to say I was right. Compared to the fabulousness of previous years, this red carpet was quite lackluster. For those in theme, of course I wasn’t totally diggin the fashion (even if I was appreciating the effort). For those completely out of theme, they just looked out of place, and for those in the middle it was just an excuse to badly accessorize. It was not all bad though, and there is still a lot to check out!
You can browse all the looks in these galleries: Refinery 29, EW, The Cut, In Style, The Daily Beast, Fashion Foie Gras, Forbes, Hollywood Reporter & AP. if you are so inclined you can even purchase some of the looks at Moda Operandi
