I haven’t done a 10 thing I love about … of cities I loved in a while. I did a bunch of them together and hadn’t gone back. This week, with all that Mexico had gone through and as often as it was in my thoughts and newsfeed, a figured it was about time I did one of Mexico D.F. so here it goes.
- The food: especially having Chilaquiles for Breakfast, chile en Nogales during the month of September and tacos all day!
- The Virgin of Guadalupe
- Palacio de Hierro
- Frida Kahlo’s blue house
- Diego Rivera’s Painting in the Zocalo
- the archeological Museum So much History inside, including the Aztec calendar
- The Shape of Sumaya Museum. Inside it’s also gorgeous, I particularly enjoyed the virgin images and the Renoirs
- Pujol: both the regular restaurant and the Barra Tacos, my favorite Mexican Chef
- Dulce Patria: my second favorite restaurant in the D.F., in a hotel I really enjoy, Las Alcobas
- Mexico DF outskirts.. being so close to the Beauty of San Miguel de Allende
Honorable mention because it’s not really D.F. but it is the country, the musical traditions. Lets bring it to Mexico D.F. and the National Ballet:
friends thoughts that are different from mine:
- Reforma
- Brunch at the CArdenal
- Rosetta
- polanquito to eat
- Quesadillas in San angel on Saturdays
- Santa Fe because of how modern it is
- Eating tacos (tizoncito)
- That 3 hours away you have a beach (Acapulco) and million of beautiful towns
- coya
- The Trees
- Cine VIP
- Sunday brunch at the Four seasons
