I have not done a 48 hours in series in a while so I’m bringing it back for Stockholm.
The Arrival day ;): I walked around Svenskt Tenn,m a gorgeous design store and the beautiful area and had some Fika there.

Dinner was at the fabulous Adam/Albin, which i posted about individually and you can check the pictures in the link. Walking back to the hotel, the light at 11pm is just amazing:

Day 1
10:00am Started the day with a Gamla Stan Walking tour. I did the Get your guide Stockholm: Old Town Walking Tour and my guide was Kiki Who was incredible. I have her direct contact info incase anyone needed it. She left us with her top Stockholm tips cards which was super cute.

12:00 visit to Stokholm cathedral Storkyrkan:

I had lunch at riche restaurant, with some more roe, which was the constant of my trip.

2:00pm Went on the Archipielago Boat Tour – I was hesitant at first to do this with so little time but I think it is a definite highlight. You get a little bit of everything: seeing Stockholm from the water, seeing the islands, the summer houses and Vaxholm. highly recommend. I booked this tour from Stromma

5:00 pm more walking around the city, to check out more highlights, and get some Fika

7:00pm Another fabulous meal at Ekstedt restaurant, which was thoroughly documented in the other blog post
Day 2
8:30 am Vasa Museum – This was the hidden gem of the vacation. If I hadn’t heard all the good buzz about it, and my guide hadn’t told me it was her must, I might have skipped it. It however should be top of anyone’s list. Super cool and can be seen in an hour (video included and all).

10:30am Abba Museum – It you know me you know this was the first ticket of anything i bought in Stockholm. I had to check it out. It didn’t live up to expectations but it is a cool interesting stop especially if you are an Abba fan. My favorites: the fact that it is the 4 of them that narrate the audio guides and the interactive video you can do with them dancing and singing to Dancing Queen. What I felt was lacking? there was more audio content than Material, i felt i was just standing around a lot listening to the audio guide with nothing to see. Also there is not as much content as I expected, and there is a disproportionate content of post Abba days material (although ‘I did like the Mamma mia movie and musical tidbits here)

12:00 Schmaltz Bar & Delikatessen – another day another roe dish

1:00 Royal Armory – this is a little gem of a museum. It was recommended to me over the Palace and I was glad I did. It is badly name, because although there is some armory what is cool is that you get a history of the monarchy with cool dresses and gadgets as well as a beautiful carriage collection.

2:00pm Fotografiska – Cool Photography museum, and the terrace for a drink was great.

3:00pm Stockholm City Hall – Beautiful building and the blue and gold room, where the Nobel Banquet occur are lovely.

7:00 Dinner at Petri : It was good, just not my favorite. Compared to the two listed above their menu was just not to the same level. It is a more affordable option but there was really nothing I truly loved. The non alcoholic pairings which I thought were going to be interesting where a bit of a bust, and I was excited for the Iles flotant, to be disappointed for it to be nothing like an Iles flotant.
