As i mentioned in my Tokyo Roundup, the best meal of my Japan trip was had at Narisawa, so I figured I needed to do a full post on it!

The Menus as they were presented were so beautiful, not only having what we were going to eat but where the food were sourced and explanation of concepts and ingredients

The Place Settings were so clean and beautiful

and now for the food. We had the sake and wine pairing and the sake selections were so good!
Bread of the Forest: The bread course might have been the highlight dish of the day. The bring the dough yeasting and then they cook it in front of you

Longtooth Grouper – my gluten free version was not deep fried but it still was delicious

Spiny Lobster: my version had veggies instead of the pasta and it was still very tasty. My dining companions who had the pasta said it was incredible (i pictured here the pasta version as its prettier than mine 😉 )

Tuna – Might be my favorite dish of the meal and the trip. I who do not like tofu, loved the tofu “sauce” and the tuna could not have been more fresh or melt in your mouth

Eel – simple and perfect

Temari (Karuma Shrimp) – this dish had a whole page of explanation (As can be seen above) and its a perfect paly of beauty and delicious food. All the “strings” were actually vegetables in their real colors no dyes. And inside a delicious shrimp ball. Also this kimoto sake is the best sake I have ever had

“Rich Harvest” (Spanish Mackerel) – the presentation of this was gorgeous and so was the taste. Made to represent the rice harvest, it was spectacular.

Wagyu Beef – one can never go wrong with a perfect piece of wagyu

Brown sugar – The first dessert was gorgeous in its simplicity

Melon – so the 100 dollar canteloupe is amazing and had been a dessert staple in all the other restaurants. Here it is elevated in like 4 different textures of melon, so good

Strawberry – a perfect bite to end the meal
