NY, Boston & Washington Tríp highlights

After a few days of travelling up and down the US East coast (New York, Boston, Washington & Miami), some photographic highlights of my trips:

1. Great Food I ate (apart from the independently reviewed dinner experiences at Per Se and 11 Madison)

ABCKitchen Brunch

Salted Caramel ice-cream with Caramel Popcorn
My family ordered my favorite dishes (which I now can’t eat 😦 ) veal meatball pasta and pizza with mushrooms and egg!
This was a simple salad of roasted carrots, but carrots have never tasted this good!!!!

Gluten free Red Velvet Cupcake @ Babycakes in NYC – I had heard a lot from babycakes and tried their recipes many times, but had never actually been to the store – it was remedied this trip and I have to say it was fabulous! ( I also took home gluten-free cookies and apple loaf and those were great too)

Dinner at Marea in NYC – A new restaurant for me and I have to say I was very impressed, the food was Fabulous! A definite must for Fish lovers. Their crudo selection is amazing and it is a hard time choosing what to eat everything looks soo good. My two favorite dishes below (of the three that I ordered jajaja)

Lobster with Buffala Mozarella
trio of Crudos (the middle one had a pineapple salsa to die for!)

Brunch @ Maialino in NYC

Perfect brunch starters: Fresh french pressed coffee with mimosas
Gluten Free Pasta with Pepper and Parmesan – So simple yet absolutely tasty!
Eggs, salsa verde and hanger steak!

Uni Sashimi @ Uni in Boston

Tuna Experiences @ Bond Street Miami

Tuna & Foie
Tuna Tarts

2. Random Trip Pictures

In Washington I stayed at the W hotel and it had some fun things:

First, Mirrors with Outlines of Past Presidents

A cool Elevator,

But Best of all an amazing terrace where I took these pictures (day and night views):

In more I love Fall events: Leaves, pumpkins and pomegranates!!

In the cool NYC discoveries category – Me and my sister went to Dry Bar … it is a cool concept where all they do is blow dry your hair, no cut, color or nails etc. The place is beautiful, I loved the hair menus, they bring you mimosas and they have docking stations to charge your iphone.

And to close it all off, I did go to my favorite store in NY – Henri Bendels, and very appropriate we got I love HB coffees!!! (i want these cups to take home!)
