What constituted a SIGNIFICANT part of my weekend? Well It was binge watching the entire series of Orange is the New Black on Netflix (again, big kudos to Netflix for original programming all in a row!). I have to say I am loving watching all of the episodes at once… I am loving this show, and am mad now that I have to wait until 2014 to see more episodes! It is a great mix of drama and comedy – check it out! I was hesitant at first because I didn’t know what to expect from it, but the cast is great and I love how they intertwine the backstories little by little. You really don’t know what your getting straight away and everyone is very layered.
Here a great article on favorite characters of the show as well as a video on Prison Rules according to the show, and Vultures OITNB headquarters
This got me thinking, Usually summer is considered a terrible time for TV, but I love it. Lots of catching up, binge watching and guilty pleasures on TV. What am i watching this summer (Apart from OITNB)?
Summer Series:
- Reality Show Central: Project Runway, HGTV Star, Top Chef Masters and Food Network Star – really I can watch many a food reality competition in a row. Top that with Project Runway and I am a happy camper
- The Fosters – great new family show from ABC Family
- Twisted
- Newsroom
- Suits – I think this is one of the best series there are, and it doesn’t get the credit it deserves
- Drop Dead Diva (very exited it came back from the dead)
- Pretty Little Liars
- Necessary Roughness
- Rizzoli and Isles
On my list to play Catchup through Binge Watching (i.e. shows that I didn’t catch during the regular season but i plan to make it up over the summer):
- Orphan Black
- The Americans
- House of Cards
what is the show about?
preview is attached – its about a rich Connecticut woman who ends up having to go to prison because of some involvement she had carrying drug money 10 years before (Statute of limitations is 12)
House of cards is so intense. Have 1 episode left. Was this a mini series or will there be a second season??
Will definitely get started in OITNB next! Thanks for the tip 🙂
