ULTIMATE TRAVEL LIST
Lonely Planet came out with a new book, The Ultimate Travel List, which encompasses their 500 top travel destinations. I just received my copy of the book, it took a while as it was out just Europe for a while but I’m very excited as it is a great addition to my coffee table (and the ridiculous amount of travel books I have laying in the house).
What made the top 20:
- Temples of Angkor, Cambodia
- Great Barrier Reef, Australia
- Machu Picchu, Peru
- Great Wall of China, China
- Taj Mahal, India
- Grand Canyon National Park, USA
- Colosseum, Italy
- Iguazu Falls, Brazil-Argentina
- Alhambra, Spain
- Aya Sofya, Turkey
- Fez Medina, Morocco
- Twelve Apostles, Australia
- Petra, Jordan
- Tikal, Guatemala
- British Museum, England
- Sagrada Familia, Spain
- Fiordland National Park, New Zealand
- Santorini, Greece
- Galapagos Islands, Ecuador
- Museum of Old & New Art, Australia
I’ve actually been to 9 of the 20, and accompanying here are my own personal pictures of my visits.
