Shuko, a new restaurant from Chefs Nick Kim and Jimmy Lau, might be one of my new favorite restaurants in NY. Unlike Sushi Nakasawa which I went to in October and did not live up to the hype, this restaurant lives to all the hype it has and more. A very subtle entrance, with no sign or everything and a really small counter makes for an intimate meal. I had the Omakase with the Wagyu beef addition and it was all wonderful! The sake that we had was delicious, hence the picture to remember for ever 🙂 My only qualm with the meal, I mentioned I was gluten free and they said there was no issue, yet they served me a tempura roll. I called their attention to it and replaced it right away, but it is an oversight a restaurant of this caliber (and price point) should not make.
