My thoughts:
- I was surprised Great comet got more noms than Dear Evan Hansen but then again Comet is so much more of a spectacle
- Very surprised Sunset Boulevard didn’t get a best revival nod, I loved it!
- I get all the other Musical love, I just don’t get the Groundhog Day love. ESpecially music, I just wasnt that big a fan.
- I was surprised only 4 Musical nominations where there were 13 new musicals. I would have liked Anastasia or even Bandstand or Warpaint to scoot in.
- I was surprised Mary Beth and not Caroline O’connor got the supporting nod for Anastasia.
- I really liked Jen Colella in Come from AWay and was very glad she got a nod.
