World’s 50 Best Restaurants – 2018 Edition

My Thoughts:

  • There is a significant lack of women on the list.
  • I’m glad Central overtook Maido in the list (although this is a top debate amongst my family and friends I vote for Central over Maido)
  • I’m dissapointed that some of the restaurants that I thought had dropped from the 51-100 list to come up didn’t. La Colombe especially – such an amazing restaurant.
  • Massimo Bottura not only is a great chef but a wonderful person so I was So glad he got top spot again. In his honor a little picture of our last meeting: img_8064-1
  • Pujol should be above Quintonil. There is no question in my mind about that.
  • Cosme is such a huge surprise. IT is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in NY but to see it so high up with all the fancy ones is pretty impressive. Enrique Olvera is definitely having a good day with two restaurants in the top 50.
  • I’m still dissapointed than in my only day in Copenhagen when restaurants actually opened I chose Relae over Geranium.
